EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: 

This is the fifth year that our district has implemented career academies into its high schools.  Throughout the implementation process we have tried a variety of ways to keep all stakeholders informed of the information that is important to them and their interests.  Utilizing more communication methods such as blogs, podcasts, and Twitter more effectively can meet the needs of not only the district but the stakeholders. 

PROBLEM STATEMENT: 

Although we may increase the ways in which we communicate with stakeholders, it does not mean that the information meets their needs and they know where to access the information.  We will need to gain insight into the types of information needed by stakeholders.  In addition, marketing where the information is located will be a necessary piece in ensuring stakeholder utilization.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:


We will create a blog and podcast for our academies. While we are opening the accounts, we will begin to identify the stakeholders that we are trying to reach.  After determining the stakeholders we will determine the topics that's important to each stakeholder and begin creating the relevant material. 

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION AND MANAGEMENT PLAN: 

A team of 12 will work together to identify the stakeholders and the topics that are important to them.  In addition, we will determine who will take the roles of blogger, podcaster, and script writers. I will work to ensure the information and experts planned are relevant to our audience.  The blog and podcast will be sustained by the academy specialists and the academy coordinator.  

PROJECT MONITORING AND EVALUATION: 

The blog and podcast will be created and monitored by the academy coordinator.  All academy specialists will have a role in the planning and implementation process.  Prior to the posting of information, the specialists will meet with me to review and make any necessary adjustments.  We will create survey for stakeholders to complete regarding the effectiveness and usefulness of the information.  

DOCUMENTATION AND SHARING RESULTS: 

The academy specialists will review the results during a monthly meeting to determine if the blog and podcast are achieving their intended goal.
